Tasks
• Inventory of datasets required for the HCVF and threats assessments
• Assisting a gap analysis of available spatial datasets
• Produce GIS database with 2000/2003/2006 forest cover maps, soil classification, rainfall, hydrology, topography, HCVF, land suitability for oil palm, provincial spatial plan, district spatial plan, SK 259/2000 forest status map, forest concessions, industrial tree plantation concessions (HTI), mining concessions, oil palm plantation concessions and administrative boundaries
• Compile GIS data layers from field maps, GPS waypoints, hardcopy maps, non-spatial databases, and other sources

WWF-Indonesia urgently seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of : GIS Officer Kayan Mentarang National Park Programme. This position will be based in Malinau East Kalimantan, and report to the Project Leader of Kayan Mentarang National ParkProgramme
The fulfillment of one or more of the following requirements by Ihe applicant will be considered as an asset:
• Familiar with the processing of spatial data
• Knowledge of ArcGIS or other GIS Software
• Knowledge of web-mapping applications (Map-server, GeoServer)
• Experiences with GeoNetwork, the Open Source metadata catalog
• Knowledge of OGC standards
• Network Administration, ideally in a Linux Server-Windows Clients environment.

• Knowledge of ArcGIS or other GIS Software
• Knowledge of web-mapping applications (Map-server, GeoServer)
