Google akhirnya merilis file KML imagery update untuk bulan Oktober ini. KML file ini mencakup seluruh data terbaru yang kini “menempel” di Google Earth. Image yang baru itupun, kini juga sudah bisa dilihat di Google Maps, yang selalu belakangan mengupdate image terbaru.
Sebelumnya saja juga sudah membuat KML file versi saya sendiri untuk bulan Oktober khusus wilayah Indonesia saja, dan jika dibandingkan dengan KML file (sebenarnya dalam format KMZ) yang dikeluarkan oleh Google, tidak terlalu berbeda jauh. Saya hanya melewatkan sekitar 4 area, yaitu untuk di Sumatera, sebagian wilayah Muara Enim. Kemudian di Jawa Barat, di Waduk Jatiluhur dan sekitarnya. Lalu di pantai barat Sumbawa Barat, sebelah selatan Taliwang. Terakhir sebagian kecil di pantai barat Sulawesi Tengah bagian utara.
