Sejak bulan lalu, Google Earth melalui blog resminya merilis imagery update dalam sebuah KML file untuk seluruh dunia. Update image yang baru ditandai dengan garis kotak berwarna merah. Adakah update image satelit resolusi tinggi untuk wilayah Indonesia? Walaupun tidak disebut dalam tulisan di blognya Google Earth, ternyata cukup banyak update image untuk wilayah Indonesia. Yang lebih istimewa lagi, image dari satelit GeoEye-1 sudah tersedia untuk “secuil” wilayah Indonesia ! Link download KML file untuk update image wilayah Indonesia tersedia di akhir postingan ini.

GeoEye-1, satelit yang menghasilkan image resolusi dengan tinggi  41 cm tersebut, ternyata sudah merekam Kota Makasar dan sekitarnya. Silahkan cek sendiri! Update untuk Kota Makasar ini ternyata sudah tersedia sejak bulan Juli lalu hasil rekaman tanggal 30 April 2009. Terus daerah mana lagi yang sudah di update dengan satelit GeoEye-1? Ternyata belum ada lagi. Namun Timor Leste telah mendapatkan update image GeoEye-1 sejak awal bulan Agustus ini.

Untuk mengetahui update image lainnya, silahkan mendowload KML file khusus untuk Indonesia melalui link di bawah ini, berikut dengan sample hasil download menggunakan Google Earth Pro untuk Bandara Hasanudin yang baru.  Siapa tahu image yang Anda tunggu-tunggu update-nya saat ini sudah tersedia di Google Earth.
