Saya baru saja menyelesaikan sebuah mini tutorial GIS Cara Membuat Vektor Grid di ArcView 3.x. Mini Tutorial ini dibuat atas pertanyaan seseorang yang menanyakan tentang hal ini melalui email. Mini Tutorial ini akan menunjukkan cara untuk membuat grid yang batas dan interval-nya ditentukan oleh user sendiri.Ada beberapa extension yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat vektor grid di ArcView3.x, yang sudah tersedia untuk di download pada postingan saya tentang Extension ArcView 3.x sebelumnya.
Batas grid ditentukan berdasarkan koordinat { (min x, min y) & (max x, max y) }, sementara penentuan interval grid disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan user. Untuk membuat grid, sebaiknya koordinat sistem yang digunakan adalah UTM dengan unit meter. Grid yang diperoleh dalam mini tutorial ini adalah sebuah layer shapefile bertipe polygon. User juga ditunjukkan cara terbaik memberi label grid sehingga lebih mudah untuk digunakan sebagai dasar analisis.
