ArcGIS Explorer adalah GIS viewer yang tersedia gratis untuk di download. Software GIS keluaran ESRI ini telah merilis versi terbarunya, ArcExplorer Build 900, dengan tambahan fitur baru untuk kemudahan mengakses data GIS dan mempresentasikan informasi geografis. Salah satu perubahan yang sangat kentara adalah GUI-nya yang sangat Microsoft Office (2007) bangetz…

Berikut adalah fitur-fitur terbaru ArcGIS Explorer Build 900 :

  • New User Interface — Organisasi management tools dan konten yang lebih baik, dan seperti yang saya sebut diatas, sangat mirip dengan  Office 2007
  • Basemap Gallery — Ready-to-use ArcGIS Online maps . Anda juga bisa menambahkan basemap milik Anda sendiri.
  • Integrated 2D and 3D Display.
  • Presentation Tools — Kemudahan untuk membuat presentasi yang interaktif, termasuk untuk peta dan data Anda sendiri.
  • Bing Maps free to ArcGIS Desktop users (Hanya jika Anda menggunakan ArcGIS Desktop license with Bing, maka Anda bisa memanfaatkan fitur ini).
  • Internationalization — Support  multi bahasa  English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese.
  • ArcGIS Online Sharing — Search for, discover, and use additional content.
  • Proyeksi peta on the fly
